Supported operations

Use + − × ÷, powers (^), factorial (!), percent (%), pi, e, ans, roots, logs, trigonometry and inverse trigonometry. Functions take parentheses; min, max and pow also accept comma-separated arguments.

DEG/RAD applies to trigonometry. % divides the preceding value by 100. Examples: 2^3^2 = 512; -2^2 = -4; 200*10% = 20.

About Scientific Calculator.

How scientific is calculated

Evaluates expressions using a restricted mathematical parser with standard operator precedence. Powers are right-associative; % divides the previous value by 100.

What the result means

Calculate arithmetic, powers, roots, trigonometry, logarithms and factorials with degree/radian modes and expression history.

Assumptions and scope

Angles use the selected DEG/RAD mode. Results use floating-point arithmetic; displayed values are rounded to 12 significant digits.

Using the calculator

Enter an expression or use the keypad. Choose degrees or radians for trigonometry, then calculate. Calculations run in your browser. No account is required.
