HOW IT WORKS

Three steps. Ready for what’s next.

01

Open one image

Choose a PNG, JPG, WebP, SVG or another supported image up to 50 MB. Opening a new image replaces the current one.

02

Choose your animation

Search 75 effects, adjust speed and intensity, and preview the result. Pause or scrub the timeline to inspect a frame.

03

Download a GIF

Choose resolution, duration, frame rate and a transparent, solid or image background. Download the complete looping animation.

About Image Animator.

Turn one image into a looping GIF

Animate a logo, photograph, illustration or sticker without uploading it. Choose from 75 effects including Pulse, Wave, Spin, Glitch, Pixelate, Liquid and Echo. Each effect renders on your actual image, and the preview and download use the same frame renderer.

Speed, intensity and playback

Speed sets one to five motion cycles per loop. Intensity adjusts movement and distortion; zero intensity restores a still image. Pause, restart or scrub the timeline without changing the complete GIF export. Animation effects reserve space around the source to reduce clipping.

Background and output

Use a transparent canvas, a solid color or a separate background image. Low fits the longest edge within 300 pixels and Medium within 512 pixels. Original retains source dimensions when within the export budget. Choose one to six seconds and 10, 15 or 20 frames per second. GIF uses up to 256 colors per frame and binary transparency, so smooth alpha and gradients are approximated.

One image at a time

Choose a single file up to 50 MB and 40 megapixels. A new foreground replaces the previous one; multiple dropped files are rejected. PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, BMP, GIF and self-contained SVG are supported, alongside the shared PSD, TIFF, PDF and HEIF decoders. Multi-page sources use their first rendered page, and animated sources use a still frame. Background images use the same decoder. Browser support and available memory affect decoding.

Local rendering and memory

Frames are rendered and encoded locally with a Web Worker. You can cancel an export and keep editing. GIF output is limited to 2,000 pixels per side and 60 million total frame pixels; select a smaller resolution, duration or frame rate when needed.
