Compress SVG locally

Upload one or more files, review the before-and-after sizes and download your results. Processing takes place in your browser. Each file can be up to 50 MB.

What changes

The SVG remains a vector image. XML comments and the XML declaration are removed. Removing editor metadata is optional. Text spacing, IDs, shapes, scripts and style rules are preserved; this tool does not sanitize SVG or execute its contents.

Compare before saving

An already optimized file may not shrink. The tool keeps the original whenever the candidate is equal to or larger than the input, so a download never grows because of compression. Quality and dimension changes only apply when that candidate is smaller. ZIP downloads keep safe source folder paths and file names.

Browser compatibility

No conversion service or account is required. Raster processing is limited to 40 megapixels and 16,384 pixels per side. Large batches are processed sequentially; ZIP output is limited to 500 MB.
